FAMILY OF JOHN BERTHRAM BARNHART (1874-1956)
He was the son of Walton C. and Elizabeth Hannah Barnhart. He was born near Mansfield, Illinois, and received his formal education in the schools of Piatt and Champaign Counties, Illinois. He married Minnie Adams, She was born in 1874 and died in 1913. They were the parents of four children; Roy Glenden, Sylvia, Edna Bernice and Donald. John B. spent most of his active years in Mahomet, Illinois, where be was clerk at the Williamson’s and other stores. Bert was a man of kind disposition with a smile for all. He died in retirement in Champaign, Illinois at the age of 82.
